End of the challenge ?

Arbitrage Wise very recently announced that JT Financials will be reshaped in SL Wallet, and amongst decisions result from the banking ban, cash deposits will no longer produce interests.

Those of you who read this blog from its inception (thanks a lot...) know that interests are VITAL for me as sole camping or similar activities are not sufficient. It that the end of my challenge ?

Not sure... At first the JT Investment Certificates still exist. They are not paying interests but dividends. Their future is not clear yet, and I will wait for further news.

Moreover I have other investment ideas, but I don't want to tell too much about it now... suspense...

Nevertheless if I decided to end the quest now, I will stick to the rule I defined in the very beginning and award all my earnings (roughly 23'000L$) to a member of the "Free Money from JohnLight Raymaker" group in Second Life. It is not too late for you to join the group !

JohnLight's landmarks book XII - The submarine camping

One more thime, I got this camping spot via a member of "Free Money from JohnLight" group, so thank you for that ! Many group members already profited from this place, so after a few days it's time to publish it here for the non members... but remind you can still join for 15 L$, and have all the best camping tips as soon as they are known to one of us.

This one is located in Adobe (146, 155, 11). There is a green-ish object there you have to touch to start camping. Touch it again to get your money. It is paying 1 L$ / 5 minutes, and when reaching 24 L$, you'll have to restart. Don't sit on it, it's not needed, and while camping you can still more around.

SL Capital Exchange - 50 L$ for free

In my tour of banks, I visited today SL Capital Exchanges (www.slcapex.com), which offers savings account (0.12% daily) but also operates a virtual stock exchange.

There was a big difference going there compared to other banks, as I could meet some avatars employed by the bank to inform and help customers ! So I could chat for a while with on of them, and I opened an account for JohnLight and a second one for JaneLight.

The very good thing is that they have a special promotion running until mid of September. If you open an account via one of their agents (not directly yourself at an ATM...), you will get 10 L$ for free immediately, and 40 L$ in one week, on the account. The only bad thing is that I did open JohnLight's account before meeting the advisor... Silly me !

It is possible to check the account status and to trade on their virtual market from the website, no need to be in-world. They also offer an ATM service. You can become an ATM owner for free, and then earn money via interest from accounts opened on your ATM. So you will soon see a SL Capital Exchange ATM in the mini-shop !

Discussing with them also unveiled some information about how they get the money to pay interests. At first, they get commissions on all operations on their virtual stock exchange. They also sell adverts on their ATMs.

This makes the whole thing look quite seriously operated... time will tell.

JohnLight's landmarks book XI - Ilha Riot

I notified this place to the members of "Free Money from JohnLight" group a few days ago. It is located in Ilha Riot (70, 123, 22) and offers many pads at rates, including 3L$ / 20 minutes, 2L$ / 10 minutes and 3L$ / 13 minutes (what a strange one...).

The good thing is that they seem to be UNLIMITED ! My client crashed each time after hours, but I saw there an avatar with more than 141L$ accumulated. This kind of campsites become quite hard to find these days, so profit from it !

Opinion polls to earn money in Second Life

A common way of earning free lindens is to take part in opinion polls. There are even islands specialised in that, and this can generate lots of money.

I don't use them personally for two reasons. Firts it's needing some time, not like camping, and to be eligible to most of polls, you have to reside in the US, which is not my case.

Nevertheless, if you're interested in this activity, you will find a blog on this topic called Earn free lindens in SecondLife. I got this link via a member of "Free Money from JohnLight" group, so thanks again.

JohnLight's landmarks book VIII - 3L$ / 10 minutes camping - max 18 L$

There are eight 3L$ / 10 minutes dancepads in Banquo 84,12,27. They are limited to 18 L$.

As always, this spot has been announced few day ago to the member of "Free Money from JohnLight", so they got an advantage on the readers of this blog.

Maintenance again

I left JohnLight camping in Apfelland the whole day, and when I came back, I found out that there was a grid maintenance in progress. JohnLight made 92 L$ before it, and got paid, so it's not a bad score.

By luck, I was able to be back online very shortly after the end of this maintenance, so JohnLight is now camping on pad 3 in Skye Club Dance Dance (Oceania). Once again, the trick of getting online as soon as the maintenance is over appears very profitable. I should may be read the linden blog more regularly to spot such opportunities in the future.

My hope now is that the avatars on pads 1 and 2 will not be there until reaching the maximum of 150 L$, as this would last for 7 hours before JohnLight could access the 7 / 10 top pad... will see.

Ups and downs - how to find new places

After the 500+ L$ week-end, the start of week is a bit disapointing. Xero is frequently off, as they don't have running events, so their good dance dance are off, as well as the bar.

To find a new place, I did as usually. When camping, you always receive advertising landmarks from robots or other campers. As a rule, I do keep all of them. Then when my current favorite spot is closed, I look at my unsorted landmarks, and check if they are cool or crap. As you may guess, most of them are crap !

I also got a promising one from a member of "Free Money from JohnLight" group, but had no time to check it. I found a good 3L$ / 10 minutes spot, but limited to 18 L$. Obviously, I shared it with the group.

There's more to xero than the dance dance

In the corner of Xero club is a camping bar. The standard payrate is 1L$ / 10 minutes, but if you join the "Club Xero" group, which is for free, you then get 2L$ / 10 minutes. I don't know yet if it is time limited, but JaneLight will camp here for a while, and I will post about it later on.

As usual, this information has first been given to the member of "Free Money from JohnLight" group members before being published here. Also remind that the members of this group will be eligible for earning 1'000'000 L$ when I will have it.

4009 by Ginko - 108 by Apez

I will test for you another bank, called Apez. They offer much more services than Ginko, including web banking, multiple accounts, payment to any avatar, automated payments for employers, and so on.

It is not clear what is their interest rate now, but I will give them a try. It is also good not to put all my L$ in a single bank, just in case. Will see how it goes on with them. I could also test SL-exchange, which seems to be the LL bank.

No new brilliant campsites found today, so I left JaneLight and JohnLight by Apfelland, each at 2 / 10 camping.

The group registration fee for "Free Money from JohnLight" is still 4 L$ a day.

More about the group

I'm actually quite proud of what is going on with the "Free Money from JohnLight". Many active members joined it, and they share all their campsite and free money tips together... and with me.

Thanks to them I found a new place working a bit like Platinum, and I'm testing it now... it will be published here soon, but I prefer to keep it in the group for the time being, as a privilege. And also to encourage non-members to join.

Something unexpected on the group

Today while as was having dinner in real life, something I loved happened on the group "Free Money from JohnLight". I did not read all of it (no, I'm not having dinner in front of the Mac, but in front of my beloved wife) but basically a new member joined, and a discussion about how to earn free lindens occured. Some members introduced kind of a hud displaying ads, from which I never heard before.

So apparently the group can help its members to earn more free linden dollars without my own intervention ! In term of social study, this is called "emergence", meaning that the force / intelligence or a group is more than the sum of its individual forces.

I like this, and encourage all group members to use it to share their knowledge. However please reserve the group for this sole usage, and remember that this group is not adult rated.

The famouse dandecages I told a lot about already, and which were notified to the group friday evening as an "avant-première" info are located in Technocity (197, 103, 23).

They are temporarily off at the time of publishing the message, but some of the group members could profit from it.

JohnLight's landmarks book IV - Platinum world

As I mentionned in my previous post, and to the members of the SL group "Free Money from JohnLight", there is a new instance of Platinum Island, which is still one of the top campsites.

You can find it through the "Map" picture, by looking for a region called "Platinum World". It has the same random characteristics as Platinum Island, but as it's less known and less crowdy, the income changes are much higher.

You think knowing that is good ? But you're actually late. I found it out two days ago, but the members of the group know it immediately ! Want to join ? Please do !

The group members already know the address of the 10L$ / 15 minutes campsite I found today. I will post it here tomorrow... or later.

Is not that good ?

When I found it, and after I could put JohnLight on it, I immediately warned the members of the "Free money from JohnLight" group, so they could also profit from it, even before publication on this blog, which will take place on sunday... probably.

Is not that a good reason to join the group, before the join fee increases ? Remined that the join fee is always a 1/1000th of my fortune, so it will change from 2 to 3L$ soon. And members of the group will later get a chance to win my million in lottery.

So now both JaneLight and JohnLight will camp there, and as this afternoon camping already made 140 L$ by Platinum world (you know the new platinum), the results could be good, if the clients do not crash. See that in tomorrow's post.

JohnLight's landmarks book III - Number guessing

I mentionned a couple of time a free game where you have to guess a number between 1 and 100 in six attemps, by proposing numbers and having answers like "Too high" / "Too low".

This is not giving any money for nothing, you have to play the game, which needs more activity than camping, but it gives you 1 L$ each time you win, which is quite easy.

If you stay concentrated, you should be able to get about 1 L$ per 2 minutes.

This games can be found in Meyers (136, 27, 30).

New Ginko rate - 2623.15 L$ by Ginko

Total camping bring 73 L$ more by Ginko. It appears that the new rate of 0.13% per day comes from a Ginko change (it was 0.09% a day before), so that's good for me !

I also figured out what I will do with the million once I will have it, but shhhhhhh, this is still a secret for the time being. Stay tuned, because it could become your million !

More on that later, both JohnLight and JaneLight camping by Platinum again, which is definetly the best camping spot for the time being.

A group is born

If you like this blog, you will enjoy my new group even more. I created a group in SL, called "Free Money from JohnLight Raymaker".

I will use it as a way to inform members about interesting campsites, where they are, and give instant info when I find new ones, particularly if they're free, or to announce when there are special ways for quick and easy money. This will be much more efficient than putting addresses here, which I will nevertheless continue.

The double Platinum effect !

I found out a new advantage today by Platinum... additionally to the random payment for coffee shop campers, they offer now "camping jobs", so you can garden or clean windows for 1 or 2 L$ per 10 minutes, and still be eligible for the random bonus ! So best of both worlds... JohnLight will garden there for the day !
