Until now, I always used the "Free Money from JohnLight" group to post good camping adresses to the fellow members. Sharing such adresses has always been encouraged in the group, and frequently members do send some.
Today however I used it a different way... As I did not made a lot of campsites search recently (I'll explain a bit later how I do this...) it happend today that all my usual spots were busy or switched off. Instead of starting a search, I just asked on the group if someone had some free pad in sight, and ... Bang... Angle Binder gave me the best tip, and I could start camping immediately. Thanks you Angle... you're really sweet !

Group is good - Submarine camping
Yesterday, a member of "Free Money from JohnLight" shared one of its favorite camping places on the group. This is a new kind of camping location, as it is located under water ! The design is funny, as there are fishes, sharks and other sea animals moving around. We will see now for how long JohnLight can stay under water !
I will certainly publish the address of this 1L$ / 5 minutes here in a few days, to let the members of the group profit from it ! The last spot I published became saturated quickly after my post.
My normal computer is still not fixed, and the SL client crashed right now, as I'm composing this post... Camping is really hard with this old Mac, so I will probably take some time to explore new banks. I seriously envisage to move to another one on Saturday, so as to test many of them.

Summary before leaving
I will be on vacation for the next week, and I will probably not have an internet connection there, so here is kind of a summary post before this.
From the beginning, I could earn about 13'000 L$, part of them being interests from Ginko interests. I used various camping places, have been banned from some because I was saying too much about their rates.
The media ball mechanism also helped me to earn some more money, being a reseller. In the misc category also comes the trick with the Debug Menu, making possible to stay connected permanently, without going idle or disconnected.
But the "creation" I'm more proud of the certainly the "Free Money from JohnLight" group. It was originally intended as a way for me to inform members about good campsites, but it is actually going much farther than that. It became kind of a community, in which active members also share their campsite locations, tips for easy money, views of the Second Life future.
We also had interesting discussions about the gambling ban, what SL economy will become, and so on. And as you know, Josephina, the very first group member, is now running a club, an she shares her feed-back on that with the group, making it really interesting.

Ups and downs - how to find new places
After the 500+ L$ week-end, the start of week is a bit disapointing. Xero is frequently off, as they don't have running events, so their good dance dance are off, as well as the bar.
To find a new place, I did as usually. When camping, you always receive advertising landmarks from robots or other campers. As a rule, I do keep all of them. Then when my current favorite spot is closed, I look at my unsorted landmarks, and check if they are cool or crap. As you may guess, most of them are crap !
I also got a promising one from a member of "Free Money from JohnLight" group, but had no time to check it. I found a good 3L$ / 10 minutes spot, but limited to 18 L$. Obviously, I shared it with the group.

No major news - 4684.15 L$ by Ginko
I'm having a very busy week at work, so not much time to try finding new places. I know this must be a bit frustrating for you, reader, but that's the rule, RL as higher priority than SL.
Nevertheless, I published a new campsite on the group today, offering 1 L$ / 5 minutes. It will be here soon, but priority to members of the "Free Money from JohnLight" group, so they get directly in-world news.

More about the group
I'm actually quite proud of what is going on with the "Free Money from JohnLight". Many active members joined it, and they share all their campsite and free money tips together... and with me.
Thanks to them I found a new place working a bit like Platinum, and I'm testing it now... it will be published here soon, but I prefer to keep it in the group for the time being, as a privilege. And also to encourage non-members to join.
Remind that by joining you will get all those tips before I publish them here, and you will also be able to take part in the final lottery to win the 1'000'000 L$ ! And the fee to join the group is defined as 1/1000 of my present fortune, so it can only increase !

Something unexpected on the group
Today while as was having dinner in real life, something I loved happened on the group "Free Money from JohnLight". I did not read all of it (no, I'm not having dinner in front of the Mac, but in front of my beloved wife) but basically a new member joined, and a discussion about how to earn free lindens occured. Some members introduced kind of a hud displaying ads, from which I never heard before.
So apparently the group can help its members to earn more free linden dollars without my own intervention ! In term of social study, this is called "emergence", meaning that the force / intelligence or a group is more than the sum of its individual forces.
I like this, and encourage all group members to use it to share their knowledge. However please reserve the group for this sole usage, and remember that this group is not adult rated.

A group is born
If you like this blog, you will enjoy my new group even more. I created a group in SL, called "Free Money from JohnLight Raymaker".
I will use it as a way to inform members about interesting campsites, where they are, and give instant info when I find new ones, particularly if they're free, or to announce when there are special ways for quick and easy money.
